Death Cafe (1pm Sat)
About the event
Death Cafés provide a safe and welcoming space to talk about a subject that many people find difficult. Although people might imagine that attending a Death Café will be a morbid or depressing experience, most find it enlivening and comforting to connect with people on this very important aspect of existence. Conversations are decided on the day by the people who attend. People often feel a sense of relief and of community, and value sharing their ideas and being listened to without judgement.
Four Death Café workshops will take place online over the course of Good Grief Bristol this October, sponsored by Memorial Woodlands, Bristol. The Death Cafés will be facilitated by Mireille Hayden of Gentle Dusk and her team of experienced facilitators. Participants will be directed to break out rooms for small group discussions.
Do join us online to listen, to talk, to ask questions or simply to feel supported in this safe environment. Although you might sometimes feel alone, you are not alone in your grief. By registering for this Death Cafe, you consent for your name and email address to be shared with Mireille and her team of Gentle Dusk facilitators.
Registrations close at 6PM the evening before each Death Cafe. Zoom invites will be sent 48 hours and 1 hour before each session.
