Kathryn Mannix is a Palliative Care Consultant and author who wants to break the taboos that surround death.

In this online event, Kathryn will talk about her work in palliative care, her book With the End in Mind and how the Covid-19 pandemic is transforming the conversation around death and dying.

Kathryn believes that the better prepared we are for death, the less frightening and more peaceful it actually is. Accepting and preparing for what’s coming can also help people to enjoy each day as it arises and to live a better life.

Kathryn talks about the subject of death in this short film from BBC Ideas, Dying is not as bad as you think.

Praise for With the End in Mind:

‘Since no one here gets out alive, we all need to think about an exit strategy. A good place to start is With the End in Mind’ (Wall Street Journal).

Good Grief online events are all free to attend. To join a session, register in advance using the button above. You’ll then be notified as the events open for booking.
