Life in Limbo: What Happens When We’re ‘Stuck’ in Grief? (Grief Academy 3 – Webinar)
About the event
When we love someone, they become encoded in our bodies and brains. And so, when they die, we feel this loss in every part of our being. In this session, renowned grief expert and neuroscientist Mary-Frances O’Connor PhD, will explain what happens in our brain and body when we grieve, and share some of the ways that we can begin to adjust to our new reality. She will also talk about how grief can be a form of learning that offers opportunities for growth and change.
In this session we will explore:
- How are love and loss encoded in our brains and bodies?
- Why do some people experience more intense, persistent grief than others?
- How can understanding what is happening to us positively impact our experience of grief?
- In what ways can grief be a form of learning?
This event is part of our Grief Academy course: When Grief is Complicated which will be running in February and March 2025 on the platform Teachable.
