Join us on Tuesday 15 June between 12pm and 1pm for a virtual panel hosted by the Right Reverend Dame Sarah Mullally, the Bishop of London.
This event will share new findings from a major research project on experiences of bereavement through the pandemic led by Dr Emily Harrop from the Marie Curie research centre at Cardiff University, and Dr Lucy Selman from the University of Bristol. The research is funded by the UKRI/ESRC. The event includes a keynote response to the findings from Nadine Dorries MP, Minister for Bereavement.
The event will also announce plans for a new UK Commission on Bereavement – to review the experiences of, and support available for, bereaved people through and beyond the Covid-19 pandemic, and to make recommendations for change. The Commission will be chaired by Bishop Sarah Mullally, and supported by a steering group of charity partners – including Marie Curie, Independent Age, the National Bereavement Alliance and Childhood Bereavement Network, Cruse Bereavement Care, and the Centre for Mental Health.
