Stuart Lawrence is a Consultant, Youth Engagement Specialist, Coach and Public Speaker. He’s also the younger brother of Stephen Lawrence, the black British teenager who was murdered in a racially motivated attack while waiting for a bus in London in 1993. Stuart will discuss the grief and trauma of losing his brother and the way in which this loss changed his life.

Stuart’s diverse career includes 15 years as a secondary school teacher in London as well as periods with the Home Office and HMP Belmarsh. Stuart devotes time to the promotion of Stephen Lawrence Day (22nd April), which aims to create a fairer society for all.
