Using Art to Express Feelings and Stay Connected (Grief Academy 6 – Online Workshop)
About the event
In this session, animator Gary Andrews will explore how art can allow us to honour and celebrate our relationship with those who have died, while also forging new relationships. He will take us through some simple drawing exercises to express our feelings and stay connected to those who have died. This workshop is suitable for absolutely everyone – no artistic ability is required!
In this session we will explore:
- How can drawing help us to express our feelings and get a new perspective on our experiences?
- What activities can help us be creative when we are grieving?
- How can the things we make become a visual journal which lets us look back on our emotions and experiences?
This event is part of our Grief Academy course: When Grief is Complicated which will be running in February and March 2025 on the platform Teachable.
For just £25, you can join seven live webinars with leading experts, with recordings available for six months. We will also share extra course content such as reading lists and helpful videos — and there will be space to chat online and share reflections with other course members.
