Debi Lewinson Roberts is a London-based independent funeral celebrant, storyteller, bereavement and loss facilitator. Debi complements the family’s wishes by working with the bereaved – or the deceased before they transition – to put together person-centered funeral ceremonies and memorials to give fitting and inclusive farewells. Debi uses her working knowledge of culture, tradition, religion and spirituality; and her experiential knowledge of funeral practices to work through complex sets of emotions in a meaningful way to devise blended ceremonies across a wide range of beliefs and backgrounds.

Debi runs workshops around different aspects of death and dying and facilitates a virtual Loss Café where Black people can share their grief and provide mutual support around racial and culturally sensitive topics related to death, dying, bereavement and grief.

She has a background in education, training & development, not-for-profit management and widening participation.
