Felicity Hasson is a Senior Lecturer in the Institute of Nursing Research at Ulster University with twenty years’ experience in palliative and end of life care research.
Felicity has published widely in academic and professional journals with over 130 research outputs and publications and has a successful history of grant acquisition, securing over 2 million pounds.
Her research includes mixed methods approaches to better understand how we can improve the experiences of patients with palliative care needs and their caregivers. Research into the role of the health care assistant and the care they provide at the end of life is a particular area of expertise.
Felicity sits on the Council of Partners for the All Ireland Institute of Hospice and the Palliative Care and is on the executive board of the Palliative Care Research Network (PCRN) and Palliative Care Research Society, UK.
On a personal level she is a family caregiver to her father with advanced Parkinson’s, living the reality of highs and low of providing palliative care in the home.
