Professor Kate O’Donnell (University of Glasgow) works at General Practice and Primary Care, which is part of the School of Health and Wellbeing.

Her research interests focus on the organisation of primary care services and the evaluation of new models of care. She also leads work on health and health care access for marginalised populations, and more recently, research to understand the impact of long COVID.

She has a particular interest in the organisation of out-of-hours primary care services and was academic advisor to the Scottish Government’s out-of-hours review. Kate chairs the Marie Curie Research Funding Committee.
