Jane Kiely

After suddenly losing her husband Dave to a brain aneurysm in 2017, artist Jane Kiely embarked upon a journey of self-discovery. Navigating through shock, trauma and grief, while juggling a career and solo parenting their two children, Jane is a strong advocate for using creative pursuits to process emotion.

Jane documents her journey on Instagram, in a whirlwind of painting, journaling, self-care, roller skating and family adventures.

She has hosted two annual art exhibitions in Dave’s memory, raising funds for Manchester-based charity Once Upon A Smile, which supports bereaved families in the North West. Jane featured on Episode 4 of The 84 podcast in February 2020.
