Dr Kirsty Boyd is Reader in Palliative Care at the University of Edinburgh and leads the Primary Palliative Care Research Group (PPCRG) within the Usher Institute.
The PPCRG has an international reputation for clinically focused research using diverse methodologies and has worked closely for many years with research active charities including Marie Curie.
Kirsty was a senior palliative medicine consultant in NHS Scotland for over 20 years and has a long standing interest in advanced communication education for health professionals and improving public information on palliative and end-of-life-care.
