Yaa Yeboah-Newton
Yaa Yeboah-Newton is a MBACP Integrative Therapist who is training to become an Integrative Psychotherapist. Her creative, embodied and intersectional approach empowers people to find self-acceptance, identity, forgiveness, freedom, and love.
A British born, Ghanaian woman, Yaa is the Founder of Our Naked Truths, which aims to create a safe space for women and non-binary people of African ancestry and the Global Majority. Since it started in 2016, Our Naked Truths has brought together 3,750 individuals who have shared stories of courage, vulnerability, and reclamation, as part of a global community which reaches across the UK, New York, Berlin, Kenya, Ghana and Oman through both in-person and online sessions.
Yaa also hosts The Communion, a monthly podcast, and founded the Black Women’s Therapy Fund, a service that offered black women and non-binary people free therapy sessions with accredited black and brown mental health practitioners.
She also facilitates group and individual sessions for a variety of organisations and events, including: Family Tree and cake theatre cast and production teams, Black Girl Fest, gal-dem, Soho House, Ogilvy Roots, Exist Loudly, The South Bank and Festival Republik – Kenya.
